Boyarde Messenger
Body + Space Exhibition
Acclaimed photographer Boyarde Messenger is to hold an exhibition of her work, Body + Space, at The Wharf in London from 5 October 2011-6 January 2012.

This is the brainchild of Ray Neve, top chef and proprietor of The Wharf who will be running a series of exhibitions throughout the year and beyond, featuring the work of established artists and emerging talent.
Following the successful exhibition that showcased Kos Evans substantial work, Boyarde Messenger will be bringing an eclectic selection of her work including her iconic Pop Art Bottoms.
Artist photographer Boyarde Messenger's notorious POP ART BOTTOMS can be found in collections in London, Australia, the royal palaces of Jordan, Paris, New York and Belize, Central America. Already iconic, they have received widespread acclaim, with reviews in The Evening Standard, The Resident, The Art of England, and The Independent, where her work was described as 'the hallmark of [a] gifted photographer". Boyarde combines hand-painting and photography, describing the work as "highlighting… [her] playful personality, injecting it with humour and mischievousness, whilst liberating the object of desire, admiring its form, yet still confirming the vital balance between power and vulnerability."

Boyarde creates several areas of work and now describes her art as covering the Body + Space, photographing fantasy landscapes at night and day and also the nude in general. But it is for Boyarde's Pop Art Bottoms that she has become known for.
Messenger has exhibited in Paris, New York and Miami, with her first solo show in 2009 in Cork Street, London and has taken part in two, soon to be three, Women In Art shows at the Mexican Embassy in Belize City. She recently exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery, London, with The Art of Giving: where she created a spectacular live installation of the female nude, exhibiting 4 hand painted women in her unique POP ART style, creating a fusion of art and fashion in the style of Charlotte Olympia shoes. The ladies were exhibited along side her POP ART BOTTOMS and caused a sensation, with the Evening Standard reviewing only Banksy and Boyarde, claiming Boyarde's painted ladies and pop art bottoms to be the 'highlight of the auction'. The bottoms, in full swing have recently exhibited in New York, and The Hamptons International Fine Art Fair with The Cynthia Corbett Gallery.
