Wine Masterclass with Master of Wine
Adrian Garforth

Friday 11th May

'Is New Zealand able to compete with the great wines & classic regions of the Old World?'

Following on from The Wharf's highly enjoyable pre-Christmas wine evening, we are delighted to welcome back Adrian Garforth MW, a member of an elite group of 299 Masters of Wine in the world. Adrian has just returned from New Zealand and will lead another fun event in May, comparing New Zealand wines with the classic wine regions of France. New Zealand defeated France to win the rugby world cup, but can their wines do it again against the likes of white Burgundy and superb red Rhône?

The carefully selected fine wines from top estates in both the New and Old World have been expertly paired with an inspirational 4 course menu from The Wharf kitchen, the culinary creation of Chef Proprietor Ray Neve. You'll have an opportunity to taste different wines paired to each dish, and after each tasting Adrian will talk through the originations and tasting notes for each. It's a very relaxed and friendly event - questions and guesses are all encouraged!

If you enjoy good wine, great food and just a touch of witty banter then why not join us on the 11 May for a really entertaining evening?

Tickets are £55*, which includes a 4-course dinner and all wines for tasting.
